 Withered field   

അങ്ങ് അകലെ  പർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽ 

സൂര്യൻ തിളങ്ങി 

മങ്ങിയ വയൽ   

The water is deep

 In the ocean;

 Drought in the land         

സമുദ്രത്തിൽ 

ആഴത്തിലുണ്ട് വെള്ളം 

വരള്‍ച്ച കരയിലാകെ  

The winds that blow -
ask them, which leaf on the tree
will be next to go.

ചോദിക്ക അവരോടു ,
ഏതു ഇലയാണ് അടുത്തു വീഴുക മരത്തില്‍ നിന്നും
