ഗാലിബ് അല്ല ഞാനൊരു 

ഗരീബാം ഗസൽ ആസ്വാദകൻ  

നിനക്കായ് എഴുതുവാനൊരുങ്ങുന്നു 

നിൻ മിഴിയിണകളിൽ പടരുമാ 

ഋതു ശലഭ വർണ്ണങ്ങളാൽ  

വസന്തത്തിൻ കൂട്ടായി മാറുന്നുവല്ലോ 

എന്നിട്ടുമെന്തേ  അക്ഷരക്കൂട്ടിൻ 

ഈണങ്ങളൊക്കെയങ്ങു 

ഇഴചേർന്നു കിടക്കുന്നു 

വിരഹ നോവിൻ വിഷാദം നീങ്ങട്ടെ  

നിലാവൊളി നിന്നിൽ നിന്ന് 

തീർക്കുമെൻ  ഗസലിൻ വരികൾ പ്രിയതേ ...!!
